How do I find a puppy on HomeForPup?▼
Use our Browse Puppies page to search by breed, gender, price range, and location. You can filter results, save favorites, and contact breeders directly through the platform.
Are all breeders on HomeForPup verified?▼
Breeders can earn verification badges by submitting identity documents, breeder licenses, health clearances, and references. Look for the blue (Identity Verified) and gold (Breeder Verified) badges on listings.
How does the waitlist work?▼
When a breeder has an upcoming or current litter, you can join their waitlist. You'll receive updates as the litter progresses, and the breeder will match you with a puppy when they're ready.
Is it free to use HomeForPup as an adopter?▼
Yes. Browsing puppies, contacting breeders, joining waitlists, and participating in the community are all free for adopters.
What happens after I'm matched with a puppy?▼
The breeder will create a contract outlining the terms of adoption, including health guarantees and pricing. You'll review and sign the contract on-platform, and the breeder will coordinate pickup or delivery.
For Breeders
How do I list my puppies on HomeForPup?▼
Create a free account, set up your kennel, add your parent dogs, and create a litter. As you add puppies to the litter, they'll automatically appear in the public browse directory.
What do the different subscription plans include?▼
The Free plan lets you manage 1 kennel, up to 4 parent dogs, and 2 active litters. Pro ($39/mo) expands to 20 dogs and unlimited litters with waitlist management. Premium ($99/mo) adds contracts, analytics, and up to 5 kennels. Enterprise ($249/mo) is fully unlimited with API access.
How does breeder verification work?▼
Submit your documentation (business license, health clearances, insurance, references) through your account settings. Our team reviews submissions and grants verification badges within a few business days.
Can I manage multiple kennels?▼
Yes, on Premium and Enterprise plans. The Free and Pro plans support 1 kennel each. You can upgrade at any time from your billing settings.
What happens if I downgrade my plan?▼
Your existing data is preserved — nothing gets deleted. However, you won't be able to create new kennels, dogs, or litters beyond your new plan's limits until you upgrade again.
Account & Security
Can I be both a breeder and an adopter?▼
Yes. During sign-up you can select "Both" as your role. A toggle in the navigation lets you switch between your adopter and breeder views at any time.
How do I reset my password?▼
Click "Sign In" and then "Forgot password" to receive a reset link via email. If you signed up with Google or Apple, use those providers to sign in instead.
How is my data protected?▼
We use industry-standard encryption, row-level security on all database tables, and secure authentication through Clerk. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account?▼
Account deletion is available through your Settings page. Deleting your account removes your personal data. Active contracts and reviews may be retained in anonymized form as required by our Terms of Service.
